To avoid this it is best to wash your doll regularly (as you would a real person) and use a combination of soap, mineral oil, and cleaning cloths to keep your doll shiny and fresh. The popularity of silicon based dolls comes from the super realistic and high quality dolls that can be made from it. These dolls often have the highest level of detail and feel the closest to an actual human being. They have higher durability than TPE dolls and are much easier to keep clean. There will be rarely any allergic reactions to using a silicone based doll.

The downside of silicon based dolls is generally the cost. As silicone is a much more costly material and the tech to create the doll is more time consuming, thus raising the price on the doll.
